A major emphasis is placed on a candidate's ability to
convey a genuine sense of caring and concern to the patient,
to accurately elicit and deliver information in a timely
efficient manner, and to demonstrate a mastery of required
verbal and non-verbal behaviors throughout 10 to 12
simulated patient encounters
(C.I.S.).
Examinees are also expected to exhibit a
Proficiency in Spoken English (S.E.P.)
while conducting a focused
History
and
Physical Examination,
and must document their findings in a Patient Note following
each encounter
(I.C.E.). |
