Fact # 1
As of July
15, 2007, the USMLE has raised the difficulty level for
passing the
Communications Skills (CIS) component of the
exam.
Fact # 2
It is now
estimated that
ONE out
of every FOUR
IMGs
will
FAIL
the
Step 2CS, with the majority of failures occurring in the
CIS portion.
Fact # 3
In
virtually all of these cases, failures occur because doctors
have not
been taught how to avoid the costly mistakes which
result in damaging
point reductions.
Fact # 4
Standardized patients (not medical doctors) will be scoring
four out
of the five components of your exam.
Fact # 5
Without
specialized instruction and supervised practice with trained
Step 2CS experts, it is likely that you may need to retake
your exam. |
