Fact # 1
As of July 15, 2007, the USMLE has raised the difficulty level for passing the Communications Skills (CIS) component of the exam.

Fact # 2
It is now estimated that ONE out of every FOUR IMGs will FAIL the Step 2CS, with the majority of failures occurring in the CIS portion.

Fact # 3
In virtually all of these cases, failures occur because doctors have not been taught how to avoid the costly mistakes which result in damaging point reductions.

Fact # 4
Standardized patients (not medical doctors) will be scoring four out of the five components of your exam.

Fact # 5
Without specialized instruction and supervised practice with trained Step 2CS experts, it is likely that you may need to retake your exam.
